Site Blog – How things are here at RGF

It’s been a while since I have written a big blog about my work on the site and how things are going here at Runic Games Fansite. By now most of you are relatively new to the Runic Games community, so my blog is about half background info, and half “this is how things are now and what I am doing about it,” with a little bit of future plans thrown in at the end. I’ve got it posted on the forums and the mods database, so you can choose which place you want to read it from and comment where you like – as there are several hundred registered users on both parts of the site now. Here’s a little preview:

I started this website on a whim, a few days after Runic Games announced their new company. I said to myself “I have fifty bucks in the bank that I can’t get to any other way (as I live in Japan right now and that bank is in the US) and I know whatever these guys do next will be pure gold, so I think I’ll take a shot at site-building and show some support.” (Yes, I really do think in parenthesis) I started the site, got it announced on Hellforge and a couple other little places where the remaining FSS crowd was still gathered, and then sat back and watched nothing happen for months. In December things picked up a little bit, when someone found some hidden images of an early destroyer in the images folder for Runic’s website. Then in January it livened up with announcements and more.

I cover things like the recent slowdown on the mods database, where I plan to take the site from here, and why there haven’t been many updates lately. Be sure to check it out here, or on our forums at the link below:
