Hi LordNyriox! What you describe is essentially the same behavior as potions (single use, gives you some permanent effect). Altho the way standard potions are set up, there is 1 potion for each specific effect. If you were thinking this is the way players will progress, you'd have to write-up a specific potion for each level (or its equivalent) in your mod. And if you multiply that by however many stats you want to affect... you get the picture ;) Now I know you can have effects work off of graphs in TL2 (not sure about TL1) and it might be possible to write out the effect so that it's "modified" by a graph, so you wouldn't have to code-up so many potions. Unfortunately I don't know much about using graphs (let alone making new ones)...

Does "disenchant" delete the item entirely, or simply remove properties? I'm hoping for a method that can force-delete gems and quest items as well. The actual goal is to develop an "alternate leveling" system, where experience is not gained, but by "consuming" gems and certain quest items (i.e. "eating" ember), this spell would add stats to the player permanently (but different for each type of gem). A lookup table was simply the first thing that came to mind for the effect I'm describing. I don't want EVERY item to be affected, just the ones that provide flavor. Hence the specific ID association I wanted. ...On the other hand, I can barely write a batch script, let alone a line of code.

:topsy_turvy: This is a gag mod which adds codpieces and chastity belt items to the game. It's a port of the same mod I made for TL1 a long time ago. At the time, I made it to fulfill a request (here's the original post: http://forums.runicgames.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=21392) Adds 6 codpieces and 6 chastity belt items for the TL2 game. They've all been set-up as uniques. Special Belts DL page

Hi LordNyriox. This sounds similar to a "transmute". The only spell (it was actually an item) I've looked into that does this uses <STRING>TYPE:DISENCHANT in its .DAT file, and it will transmute the clicked item into either gold or a random gem. This is achieved by using "%" switches on the effect... <STRING>NAME:SOCKETABLES_SPAWN <STRING>ACTIVATION:DYNAMIC

doudley has just uploaded Brother-in-Arms (2017)! The first and original character to pet modification for Torchlight II, was named Humans as Pets mod back then. It was published at RunicGamesFansite almost at the same time with SynergiesMOD, gaining popularity side by side. It is also one of the inspiration behind Far East Pack when I introduced my custom companion, the Musha class. This is the only intensive and meticulously made modific... (continued here)

Hi All! I'm relatively new to modding, and entirely new to Torchlight. But Torchlight 1 modding seems relatively simple, so I wanted to try my hand at creating a mod of my own. Note that this idea is for *Torchlight 1*. I can't seem to get Torchlight 2 installed on my system, and I'd prefer to make a Torchlight 1 mod first anyway. Okay, so I want to create a spell (as in an equippable spell), which you activate, then click on an item.

Agreed! We need to do another pull from the site to update the content in the client. We also are in desperate need of a "Media" section where you can view images and video for a mod. It's been on your todo list for a long time, but it keeps getting pushed back for some reason. Same goes for adding a "Comments" and "Review" section. Soon hopefully.

The client has an auto-update feature that (should) notify you when a new version is out. If you skip the update (don't want to restart), the update will be applied automatically the next time you restart the client.

Okay so I tried DLing Warbounds again on the new client. It wasn't in the online db yet, so I started the DL from the mod's RGF page like the last time. This time it went down without a hitch! :D I noticed that I had 2 copies of the Warbounds mod though (Warbounds and Warbounds(1) ). So I just installed one of them and deleted the other. I opted to sync the one I installed. The client explained that synced mods would be available to me from any device. doudley (the Warbounds author) hadn't filled-up a lot of the metadata and info fields. This means the user must rely on what the author has posted on the RGF DL page itself. Might be a good idea to scrub the DL page to "borrow" what the author posted there, so that the info in...

Hi Mastercog9, thanks for playing the mod and glad you like it too! So the off-animations happen to both of you? Your's are fine on your screen but not on her's and vice-versa? That is freaky... I have to ask you first, are both of you running any other mods aside from TL1CP? Crashes when you try to equip an item, for example, are a common sign of mods conflicting. Pls let us know...

I've been playing your mod for quite some time and I love the concept of taking material from a previous game in the series and modernizing them. However, I have a couple bugs to report. I play via LAN with my girlfriend and I noticed that the attack animations of our characters are totally wrong on each others' screens. For instance, my girlfriend was using a pole arm and her attack animations on my screen were of her using it like a shotgun, though the animations were correct on her screen. This was with a Vanquisher. Next issue is with my Alchemist. (Which I love btw) But I cannot equip a certain kind of glove without the game crashing. I forget what it's called and I should have saved a screenshot, but it looked like Granite...
