A new interview with Max Schaefer is out, once again in Podcast form and once again with hints at new tidbits in regards to the MMO and other future developments. The interview takes up the first 50 minutes or so, and you can find it by going to the Rumble Pack Podcast page, right here.

Have you been sitting around wondering what the Torchlight MMO will be like? Ever wonder what other names were pitched for Torchlight? Well a special edition of the Polygamerous Podcast features a full 55 minutes of interview with Runic’s own Max Schaefer. There isn’t a lot in the way of new information (assuming you follow our FAQ and news posts), but if you don’t know anything about the MMO or Runic it would be a fun way to catch yourself up. I will draw to your attention the one piece of new information: The Torchlight MMO will have some kind of Retirement System. The possibility of one has been speculated, but Max comes out and says that it will be included in the next game.

The gang at Runic has finally posted about the trip to meet Perfect World in China. There’s nothing game related there, but there are several interesting pictures and some stories. Here is a peek:

Marsh shared this laugh-out-loud story about one of Erich’s culinary experiences:

HOST – “This is a herbal soup..”
ERICH “I’ll try it..”
Erich takes a bite …
ERICH – “Oh my God that was the grossest thing I have ever eaten. It exploded in my mouth.”
HOST – “Yes, the soup has cow penises in it.”

They found out later that wasn’t all it had in it, but we’ll leave the finer details to your imagination. Let’s just say that dining in a foreign country often is an adventure, and sometimes it’s a reality TV challenge.

Jason Varden, Perfect World’s PR Manager has just tweeted a list of the exhibitors for this year’s E3. You can find the list at G4tv.com, and there are a lot of big names, as usual. The big question for us this year is, of course, will Runic Games be present at the Perfect World booth again? We’ll have an update once we know, but until then you can take a glance at some of the photos from last year’s booth. There are even pictures of the famous Felicia Day playing the game and doing a mock interview in front of the Torchlight booth!
