Howdy y'all! Today I've compiled all the Torchlight Mobile previews from this year's E3 in to one bonanza of a news post! To make the deal even sweeter, I've also gathered all of the screenshots from various sources to one gallery for you to check out. Read on!

First up is a preview from GameGrin, which in addition to a nice in-depth review of the gameplay so far, contained an accidental tidbit, in the form of screenshots like this:If you look VERY carefully you can see that the shots from this site (and no other site) were taken from within the Unity Editor, a very versatile engine which I happen to recognize from a personal project of my own. The cool point about the engine is that it can build to just about any platform, from desktop to console and every mobile device in-between. This also means the game was rebuilt from the ground up, as the previous Torchlight games were build using the graphics engine Ogre3D. Here's a quote from the article to finish off our GameGrin coverage:
Admittedly, I did not get a lot of time to play quests, so I cannot talk at length about them. And, due to my character’s level, I only had access to one special ability. That said, the single player dungeon crawler mode was a lot of fun. It’s definitely Torchlight--enemies, interactions, and combat are surprisingly similar to the original game. The same look, almost the same feel. I did notice quests are notably shorter, lasting only a few minutes. This isn’t a bad thing, though. In fact, I rather enjoyed the quick rebound. Mobile players don’t have time for hour-long games. They need something they can play on the go--something with high replayability that can be dropped after a couple of minutes. This was Torchlight Mobile’s biggest strength, I think.

Next up, unless I've been fooled by another aggregator bot, is a blurb and a photo from Android Headlines. The photo shows some cool E3 swag and the only shot we have of the title menu: ...

Woooooooooooooooooot! I mean, hello everyone! Awesome news to bring you today, with the announcement of Torchlight Mobile! Quick, to the press release!

Torchlight Coming to Handheld Devices Later This Year!

[This unedited press release is made available courtesy of Gamasutra and its partnership with notable game PR-related resource GamesPress.]
San Francisco--June 12, 2015-- The award-winning action RPG series Torchlight is heading to mobile devices in 2015! Torchlight Mobile is an entirely new game from Perfect World due to release in 2015 for iOS and Android.

Similar to its predecessors, Torchlight Mobile is an action RPG featuring highly robust online gameplay in the unique art style of the series.

Torchlight is an award-winning action RPG franchise originally developed by Seattle-based Runic Games Inc., a veteran team composed of designers and project leads on titles such as Diablo, Diablo II, Mythos, and Fate. Torchlight's 2009 release was met with a shower of accolades, including numerous review scores of 90% and above. The highly anticipated 2012 sequel, Torchlight II, introduced new classes and multiplayer support for both online and LAN play. It was met with similar acclaim and has sold over 3 million copies.

As a much-beloved classic series, Torchlight's appearance on mobile platforms will surely be a well-received event by RPG and action fans alike.

    About the Torchlight Series

Torchlight is an action role-playing game released in 2009 by Runic Games, Inc. Set in a mining establishment called Torchlight, players set out into the depths of the mines to discover the full extent of Ember's influence on the civilizations of ages past. Torchlight II, which debuted in 2012, launched players into a multiplayer adventure that spanned the continent of Vilderan. Torchlight Mobile, set for release in 2015, takes place in another faraway land where Ember is still being harvested by powerful civilizations. Players begin their adventure as one of three new character classes charged with fighting off the corruption that has maligned this land.

An early alpha version of Torchlight Mobile will be shown running on mobile devices at E3 2015 by appointment only in the Perfect World meeting room (West Hall, Meeting Room 511C). Please contact david@mmpr.com to book an appointment.

You can also check out the developer's forums for new info and the official site for concept art. Just from glancing at everything, my guess is that Torchlight Mobile might be a multiplayer prequel featuring Alric. We'll see!

The game will be shown at E3. I've also noticed that Runic has replaced their R logo with a new one, in case that means anything.

Hello all, just a little system notice for you: If you see this then you have survived the server switch, which may have taken a couple days to hit you depending on technical things like local DNS servers refreshing. There have also been some updates, and there are some more updates planned for the near future.

In the meantime, if you find a bug or error page, or something broken, let me know! Either in this post's comments or by e-mailing webbstre@runicgamesfansite.com ...
