RGF Staff Openings
Last updated on January 19, 2010.
The Original Runic Games Fansite, or RGF, is as much of a group effort as it is the product of my own enthusiasm and attempts to provide a place for discussion and easy-to-access information. The following staff openings are for positions that I think would provide a useful service for the community. All positions are voluntary, meaning there is no pay, but they are positions that put you in a place to help the community – some may even give you something to put on your resume. In other words, there are benefits to joining the staff, but don’t come in expecting anything with an instant monetary value.
Staff at RGF have some pretty strict standards to adhere by. Nothing that would force you to become a slave or work a certain number of hours a week, but rather conduct standards. You may be in a position to contact the Runic Games developers more than the average joe, or may find out things that cannot be released to the public yet. These are situations that mostly just require common sense and politeness. Basically, if you can act somewhat professionally and don’t harrass, attack, or electrocute anybody, you should be fine.
All staff positions can be applied for by contacting me at webbstre@runicgamesfansite.com . The openings are not necessary limitted to what you see on this page. If you have a skill, talent, idea, etc. that you would like to volunteer for the site, feel free to e-mail me and tell me what you have in mind.
The Openings:
General News Staff
Currently we have three people availabe for keeping the news updated: Sp3tsnaz, Trappski, and I (Webbstre). Sp3tsnaz and I are in the East Asian-Australian time zones, and Trappski is in Europe. We would like at least one person in North America who would be able to keep watch on the news. The only responsibility of this position is to watch the news and post about it.
Site Artist
We are planning on doing another layout change, this time switching parts of the site to an entirely new format. We need someone who can make website-style artwork (mainly backgrounds), who can handle colorful medieval/steampunk styles, and is used to making their artwork computer/web-friendly. If you feel you fit these qualifications then draw something from Torchlight in your own style (anything at all) and send it as a .jpg to webbstre@runicgamesfansite.com.
That’s it for now, but if you think you have a skill that could be useful and want to volunteer your services, or if you want to apply for one of the positions above, e-mail me at webbstre@runicgamesfansite.com .
