Weapons and Armor of any quality can be enchanted by an enchanter or an enchanting shrine. This will either add 1-2 gem sockets, add 1-2 beneficial attributes, do nothing, or remove all beneficial attributes.

Gold coins are the basic unit of currency and drop from most monsters. Gold is automatically picked up, and the player's current gold appears at the bottom of the inventory screen.

Ember and gems are placed in sockets on items, modifying their enchantments.

These are items that grant players of any class the ability to cast new spells.
