Musics, Sounds and Voices - Likes and Dislike

What do you think about all the audio from Mythos, what would you like to be improved on the NRGG, and if possible, do you want to have some fun and upload some audio clips with your recorded voice to fit an npc of your choice?
Later tonight I'll upload ones of my own... Maybe a blacksmith :P

    Have Fun!

Muted all sounds on Mythos and played my own play list in the background.... sounds just were too repetetive and some annoying, meteor build, having to listen to that sammmeee launching woosh noise constantly... Needs more variety too. But my mic isn't working so no uploading for me just yet.. maybe if I fix it or get a new one :P

I did the same thing Hero did, except with videos replacing a music playlist. My personal favorite NPC voice was the old guy at the very top (straight up) of the village in Act 3 of Diablo 2. "DAMNIT! WHY CAN'T YOU PEOPLE JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" ... or something like that.

It was "Alkor" from Act 3.* The NPC's in Diablo 2 really helped make that game.* My favorites from Diablo 2 were Akara, Ormus, the guy that did the voice in Arcane Sanctuary after you killed the summoner, and of course Caine.

The only sound that really bothered me in Mythos was on my Gadgeteer.* Boom zippers.* Man those things were loud when they exploded.* At times, I would drop them and purposely run backward to not hear the loud explosion.

As far as music, I liked Mythos main introduction screen music.* However, I felt the in-game music was lacking.* With Matt Uelmen on the team now though, I don't think we'll need to worry about music .

On that note, the hardest part of his job now is topping himself. Let's be honest, the Tristram theme was so great that none of us will ever forget it. When they played the first few notes on the guitar at the announcement last year goosebumps ran down me from head to toe. I can't wait to hear what he comes up with next.

I also usually shut the music down in mythos to listen to my own music or mostly because I was on skype with guild members.

One sound that really annoyed me in Mythos, until they fixed it, was the lightning sound of these magician guys, can't remember there name but I think the spell hasted there minions or something.
Anyway, one made alot of sound but when there were 2-3 or more they literaly blew my speakers up, well it sounded like it anyway, my subwoofer went crazy.

Alkor from Act3 in daiblo2 is also my favorite NPC. ^^
Thx again Hero for the Mythos music. *listening right now* Farstep on.

It's so awesome that Matt Uelmen is on the RG team, I hope that he makes some epic music for NRGG.
    Can't wait for that game...

As the sound was usually off for me, I can only guess... but Tesla Widgets maybe? They were minions with lots of lightning.

I realized I should clarify something: I general leave sound on for the games where it makes a difference, like in Fallout and similar games you have to be able to hear what is around you, and in Starcraft you need the vocal warnings and sounds of fighting.

I would love to see a class in a dungeon crawler that uses sound (and light) to determine visibility... something like the meter they had in thief combined with the sound stuff in fallout3. Then I would probably leave the sound on more.

With Matt Ulmen you wont have any excuse to turn off the music...
