    Level cap

I wonder which lvl will be the max one. Would it be the 50 as in Mythos, Hellgate or 99 as in Diablo 2? Or even more? I am for lvl 50 or 99, depends on the length of the game. But when we've got 3 difficulties it could be 99 -> more skill points to spend .

    Re: Level cap

I personally like games that have higher and higher max levels. What I hate is when they make those max levels an eternal grind to get to. Why not have all levels be reached at about the same speed (assuming you are killing monsters around your level) and let it keep going forever? Sure, it probably wouldn't work well in the MMO, but in single player at least it could be cool. People could keep adding higher and higher level content.

    Re: Level cap

Because we are short on time, we are only going to let you get to level 2. Once you hit that first "Ding!" we boot you back to the main screen to start over... So really the challenge of the game becomes, to get through it without killing anything, or turning in any quests. How deep can you go.... o_O

Before that gets slapped on the main page, it's a joke obviously. I'm really not even sure what our level cap will be. I'll wait for Travis to comment on this one. He never sleeps, so it shouldn't be long before he see's this.

    Re: Level cap

We'll probably have a 50 or 60 level cap at ship.
You should also be able to just change it by adding some more XP gates to the level curve in the editor, so.... if it's too low, it should be easy to increase!

That said, who knows. We haven't completed the game yet. Maybe it'll be higher? We'll just have to see how it plays, and how fun it is.

    Re: Level cap

    Very interesting information!

Personally i don't mind if the last 5-10 levels are hard to reach (depending on the max level) when i am able to wear all the possible items before the max level. I had a lot of chars in D2 in the 9x's but i never reached lvl 99 (hc for life) but i was able to wear any item and that was the most important part for me. But i wonder if one day there will be an unlimited system...

I really like the idea of being able to make your own max level in mods... someone could make mods that keep getting higher level and more difficult to finish, with better rewards. It's like the uber feeling would never end! :-P

I'm not a big fan of anything 60-99. After a certain point, it just becomes an insane grind.

    Re: Level cap

Please don't make it 99, that really bothers me, just make it 100! Why do you have to stop 1 short? I mean really!
But i'm also a fan of the high level cap, i'm totally for the 100 level cap ^_^
