    mods

#1 why is that when you uninstalled and reinstalled TL all the content remains the same?
#2 I accidentally deleted all of the mods in my torchlight mod folder including my first mod folder and i am wondering if you need this to load TL since it crashes everytime i try to load it. And if you do can some 1 upload the first mod folder for me so i can put it in my mod folder again?

1- I don't quite understand your question. Are you referring to reloading your saved characters?
2- Yes, if the game is trying to load a resource that was from a mod and it no longer exists, it will crash. You need to load the mod, remove whatever it is trying to load (whether it is an item, a pet, a custom class or a custom dungeon or dungeon piece) and then save it while cleaned, THEN remove the mod and load it.

    Re: mods

usually with other games when you uninstalled the game everything is deleted including all the mods and all the characters, all the saved games etc. but with torchlight everything remina s the same after i uninstalled and reinstalled. Btw where would i find the MY FIRST MOD to extract it back into my mod folder?

    Re: mods

Well you must remember the mods are separate from the game's install, and you installed them into the mods folder in the application data yourself. It's not that uncommon for games using a separate folder for user data to leave it when the game is uninstalled. If you want to delete the saves and mods, you'd have to delete it manually after uninstalling and start fresh.

As for "My First Mod," I cannot find any mod by that name in our database or on TorchLeech.

    Re: mods

thanks for your help. One more question though, so usually if i delete a mod without clearing out everything from that mod the game crashes and that is common but for me when i delete the character inside game play from a mod it crashes on me and then i thought if i delete the mod and restart the game after that it would work but it didnt. Anything idea why this would happen?

    Re: mods

yeah i downloaded the lots of character mods because i wanted to play the barbarian. I used torched to put the skill dual enhanced wield and polearm enhance skill on the barb. When I try to delete the barb the game crashes then i deleted the mod. I reinstalled the mod again and try to load the game but it doesnt work any more and i dont know why. Do you i have to put those skills back into the barb before it would work?

    Re: mods

Well, if you have given up on the barb the easiest method might be to delete the save file for the barb manually and remove the mod. That should make it start the game with the default new Destroyer on the title screen, which would free you to try again.
