    Mod installing question.

    Alright, simple question.

I got some mods, installed them. (At least the Torchlight mod manager says so, and they do seem to be in the right folder) However they refuse to work.

I got the 12b version of Torchlight (At least that was the name of install exe) and trying to use the Fishmasher mod (Just to name one of em). Is it some compatibility issue at work here or am I just doing something wrong?

Mod located at Appdata/roaming/runic games/torchlight/mods (In its own folder, not the file)

    Help would be appreciated

(Got one of the new pet mods working, yet alot of them dont work at all. Do I put the folder with the modfile in entirely or just the modfile? Wich seems to have no file-extension.)

    Re: Mod installing question.

I haven't used the mod manager myself, but if you want to install them the regular way, I have some instructions posted here:

    Re: Mod installing question.

" You may be able to tell if it unzipped properly by checking within the extracted folder to see if a folder titled "media" is inside. "

That line stood out alot. Is this needed for every mod? Cause so far the only mod with a media folder that I found was Vsea Pet Shop. All the other's are simple files with no exstension at all.

That would be the problem then. The files that are being replaced need to have the EXACT same folder structure in the mod as the actual file.

    Re: Mod installing question.

Then it would be nice if people cleaned up the mods they put on the site. Cause so far only one of them had actual folders inside, rather then a simple file without any extensions. (No .exe, .adm .dat no nothing)

But thanks for your help. Since I have no clue on how to figure out what path a mod will use.. >_<

    Edit:

I figured it out. Turns out the files without a exstension are the mod files. All I had to do was name em. (I made them a .rar and suddenly the files were inside it)

    Re: Mod installing question.

Ah, are you downloading via IE8? That sounds like a pretty common bug that so far appears to be exclusive to that browser. I'm still trying to get tech support of some kind to get it fixed. More info is here: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=630
