    Jedi's Confessional.

    Forgive me modders, for I have sinned. Jk, I just need help!!! Which is probably naive of me to ask since i DL'd TorchED two minutes ago and dunno wth i'm doing

    So I want to start trying to create my ideal pistol gunslinger character/mod which IDEALLY will include:

    -Shorter range on pistols
    -Faster pistol attack (Skill or item base change. Haven't Decided)
    -Slightly increased pistol damages or increased critical hits to keep up the "Precision" image that rangers have associated with them.
    -Low Damage, Elemental Spectral Echo AoE self buffs (unstackable) for different effects. Fire=Burn, Ice=Slow, Maybe lightning for slightly higher damage and critical explosion animations.
    -A life mod since I play on increased difficulties (nightmare and insane!!!! i believe)

    MAYBE:
    -New skills (If i can get anyone to help me with getting it all together, but i'm not optimistic lol)
    -- Dual Ricochet. Low damage skill mainly used for mowing down trash when needed. Will work on scaling. Basically fires a ricochet from both guns at the same time.
    -- Elemental Spectral Echo Buffs (as mentioned above)
    -- Escape! Dash out doing probably 10% weapon dmg. Just something to get out of corners and tough situations since I don't plan of giving my character Winds of Justice. Just cause I like to be different. high mana cost+low damage to make it more of a defense oriented skill.

    OH. i was trying to add attack speed values to a skill i created. how do i do so? I have the reqs of it being dual pistol only, but I can't seem to find anything on setting my own values.

    Same for damage?

    How do i go about changing dat files?

    Ah i got a text editor and opened my gunslinger's DAT file and i couldnt find any of the lines that are in the class tutorial guide. Do i have to convert the code into something else?

    u might have opened the ".dat.adm" file. wat u want is to open just the ".dat" file.

    The .dat file wll be in pretty straightforward text. might be better to get urself a beefier text editor though, something with "search" and "replace" functions (i use note tab light which is free).

    Yeah it was. You were right. But whenever I try to change something it doesnt seem to work. I also can't get the character.layout to work. hold on lemme copy and paste from other thread.
