anybody have any luck finding any of the Madea pieces?

Madea's Crown (head) Madea's Insignia (shoulder) Madea's Claws (hands)

the items are listed as both unique normal and epic (at the Torchlight armory, although I have found gear they don't list) and I have yet to see a single piece from either level of the gear, even at the uniques vendor.

is there a specific creature we need to defeat to find these perhaps? the only item I've seen anything like that with so far is Ordak's Wingblade.

i think those are her (Medea's) loot drops when you defeat her. But there have been bugs reported and they might not drop when she dies...

I do recognize her, I've beaten her on normal and hard so far, I guess I'll just have to hope she drops some pieces on very hard.

well according to the loot spawnclasses the medea items have rareity:0 (even Ordraks wing has rareity:3) so i dont know if they even can spawn ? another thing that may cause it not to spawn could be the <INTEGER>LEVEL:28 so you have to be near lvl 28 when beating her to have a chance to get the items :/
even if they do spawn there is only 1/4 chance that it will spawn one of the medea pieces so if you whant them all you gotta make a lot of runs

an other thing to note is that even tho there are epic versions of these items they also have rareity:0 and therefore no chance to spawn in normal play.... unless you wait úntill that lvl with killing her

the items have no item type and therefore wont spawn in the unique shop

Looking at the spawnclass, it looks like it was intended that one of the three items would drop every time you killed Medea, however, as Object stated already, the items have a rarity of zero (meaning they can't spawn) and the spawnclass does not override that value. The items do have a unittype; it's inherited from the base file specified by the field "BASEFILE:"

as always Jarcho is right and it is not because the item has no type ist because the unittype is ITEM and not "unique helmet" ect. as the other uniques

Edit: im wrong the unittype is unique helmet ect. so its just the rareity

I knew something odd was going on there cuz I had gotten at least 2 drops of the wingblade out of 4 toons defeating Ordrak on various difficulty levels and zero drops of any Madea piece of either regular or epic quality.

the fix doesn't help with the epic medea equipment as they still have rarity:0 and can't drop... sadly

If you look inside Jarcho's fix, they now all have a "RARITY_OVERRIDE:1" setting. Maybe the issue is with whether or not the fix is loading into your game properly...

yea my point is you cant get the lvl 58 medea equipment, as it whont drop in normal gameplay and nither from the boss
