File Uploads
This is the main place for you to upload mods. Uploading mods from this location allows you to add a description and tag words, which will allow for others to easily find your mod via searching. General mod types are listed for your selection, but you are also able to type in additional tags of your own.
If you upload a file from this location you can link to it later from other places (blogs, pages, and projects). You can upload virtually any file type, within 15 megabytes and so long as can be uploaded within 12 minutes. For people wishing to upload larger files, such as total conversions or other larger content packs, and do not wish to split the files into smaller packages, you should check out the Uploading Mods instruction page for instructions on how to acquire an FTP account.
If you want to update an existing mod with a new version, you are able to do this by going to the file's File Node page (the node created when you originally uploaded the file via File Upload), and then clicking edit. Something should appear above the upload box with a message like A file filename.png has already been uploaded. If you upload another file the current file data will be replaced. Clicking browse and choosing your replacement file will remove all trace of the original file. You may want to also add a note somewhere saying that the file has been updated and on what date.
*Note* File previews work for text and image files, but are not enabled for audio and video files in order to save system resources and keep maintenance costs low.
