Class mods don't work very well together

Class mods don't work together very well, you can typically only have one at a time unless you figure out how to merge them, and I'm not even sure if that works or not right now.

Do you have TorchED

Do you have TorchED installed? If so, just go to TorchED's folder and look for \media\models\warrior\body.png . Copy that file into your Torchlight mods directory under the same path ( ModName\media\models\warrior\body.png )and then edit the copy.

Pets & Minions category (suggestion)

I know strictly speaking the game and editor classes the pets/minions as 'monsters', but I thought it would probably be better and seem more logical for them to have their own separate category in the mod database.
Maybe weapons/armor should also have their own section, while 'items' would be reserved for other things like potions, spells, gems, etc.
Just suggestions :)

Added

I've added Pets and Minions to the options. I'm not sold on the items requiring different categories yet though... if a few more people ask for it I'll add it in.

Would it be possible to

Would it be possible to categorize the mods for ease of searching for a specific mod type.

Ex.

-Weapons
-Misc Items (Potions, Fish, Spells)
-Custom Classes

ect, ect?

I know it would take a incredible amount of work to do so but would make the mod database alot easier to navigate through.

If not its cool, was just suggesting as the thread asks xD

Will try to get this working tomorrow

I found the problem with the tag restriction not showing up for regular users, so now any time someone uploads or edits a file it will require them to choose a mod category. Now that it works properly, I can set up those lists everyone wants. Woohoo!

Nice one!

I'm very pleased, as I'm sure many are, that the mods will now be in categories, woot! Nice work, quickly done, and a big thank you! :)

Categories would be awesome.

I would like to second the suggestion of having the mods categorized. Things aren't too bad now to sift through, but in the future there will be a lot more mods and so having them in sections will make finding what you want much easier.

It's in the works

I actually figured out how to make the category lists, similar to how I do all the other lists on this site, but I came into a problem when I discovered that it wasn't requiring people to select a tag for their mod type when uploading. In other words, I can make the lists, but unless people choose the mod type category when uploading/updating their files the lists would stay empty. I'll take another crack at getting that fixed this weekend though.

A Request

I would appreciate it if we had the ability to comment on mods, rather than just blog posts and whatnot. I think it'd be useful, as a modder, to be able to read the comments of others, as well as, to leave comments for the mod creator to read.

And added! I probably should

And added! I probably should have turned it on before... I think I just expected people to have more of an upload it and leave it attitude. I suppose it is better this way, it means people are getting more involved!
