It is a slow week so far, if you aren't at GDC (if you are there, find the guy with the mohawk hair, it might be Taylor Balbi), but I found a bit of info that is worth sharing. Last December Runic Games updated their website with a holiday greeting and a list of the people working there at the time. Yesterday I stumbled on a new name that isn't on the old list, and from there I have found information on various peoples' LinkedIn profiles stating their job titles and histories. I won't post the direct links here, but here is a uncomplete list of who some of the people are at that Fort Knox we call Runic Games (in no particular order) :
Before Flagship, he was Vice President of Blizzard Entertainment for 7 years!
Brother to Max, he was Vice President of Blizzard North for 10 years.
Before working on Mythos he developed Fate at WildTangent.
Previously a Junior Concept Artist for Mythos at Flagship Studios.
Like Travis, he previously worked at Wild Tangent as well. He was one of the original programmers for Mythos in the first year and a half of production.
3D Technical Artist
Another former Flagshipper, he has over 7 years of experience doing 3D art.
2d Artist - Textures and UI Design
Another person who worked at FSS, there weren't a lot of details on him.
He worked at Blizzard for 12 years, and is the one responsible for the unforgettable Tristram theme from Diablo.
While at Flagship she did Quest Writing, Event Planning, HR Coordinating and more.
Formerly worked at Wild Tangent and Flagship Studios. What does he do? Well here is a clip from his profile: Setting up the office network, configuring network security appliances, establishing an email server, implementing a source control system, developing a continuous-integration build system, creating a build distribution tool, installing a defect tracking system, purchasing hardware and software, cleaning dishes... The works
Former Animator for everything on Mythos, he now is "responsible for the creation and management of animation content for all projects at Runic Games."
Senior Level Designer
He previously worked as Level Designer and Lead Level Designer at Gearbox Software and Running With Scissors. First game he worked on was Postal 2: Apocalypse Weekend
That is all the info I was able to find on LinkedIn for now. I am sure there are more people I couldn't find and I apologize if there are any mistakes (spelling or content-wise).
Do you know anything else about the works or accomplishments of these people? Feel free to share and show appreciation for them here! (You know they are watching)
